Which way you want

Selmer style models can be ordered with back and sides in mahogany, Indian rosewood or Brazilian rosewood.

For Brazilian rosewood, there are further possibilities: straight grain, subtly figured, highly figured, or exceptionally figured grain. Or, you can even choose which particular set you want your guitar to have from the current selection below.

Short scale 14-fret

Many of us have seen this video clip where Django plays the french tune "J'attendrai", with Grapelli backstage with the rhythm section playing cards. The movie continues and the band is then playing on stage. The guitar that Django plays on in this movie is quite rare. Actually, I haven't heard of any other vintage Selmer to be found with this combination of an oval hole, and short-scale, with a 14 fret neck !!

Low Tension

It feels really comfortable to play because it feels so short! - It's soft and sensitive with Argentine 010s, and really powerful with 011s.

Some players feel that rhythm guitars should be short-scale, to provide your left hand a more natural position when you play chords closer to the headstock.

Shorter scale also means lower string tension.
