17" Archtop

Acoustically Superior

My main goal with these 17-inch archtop guitars is to have an acoustically superior guitar, with good separation, volume projection and a classic vintage look. They have parallel top bracing, which results in a louder, more punchy voiced guitar.

Acoustic and electric

Top and back are handcarved of European Mastergrade maple & spruce. Graduated in the traditional Cremona-style. Without compromise in the chosen woods and hardware, every part is a top drawer.

It can be ordered with or without cutaway. Either as pure acoustic archtop or with pickup. Ebony fingerboard with classic m.o.p block inlays. Custom features on request.

Thumbwheel

Thumbwheel vol & tone pot is hidden behind the edge of the pickguard to keep the bound tortoiseshell pickguard free and clean of pot knobs.

Rhythm chief

My own favorite is Rhythm chief 1000-style floating singe coil pickup. I make them with exactly same magnets, same bobbin material & dimensions as originals. Same coil wire and same output. Comparing to 1100, the model with adjustable steel polepieces and rubber magnets, I prefer this older Model with Alnico magnets. This "most beautiful guitar pickup in the world" is available on either Gold or Chrome plated. (See "accessories") Bright, smooth & warm singlecoil sound. Natural and bright on low gain. Nice "control" on higher gain. Pickup is compensated to modern stainless & nickel wound string balance. It has also upgraded fixing to pickguard.
