is the most sought after wood for guitarbuilding. It comes from the rainforests and has status of endangered species (Dahlbergia Nigra) and it is protected by CITES convention, it is prohibited to log and sell it any more. That’s because We want to save this planet for our children and next generations.
Brazilian rosewood was listed to CITES convention in 1991. There were times when brazilian rosewood was fashionable in furnitures, and this wood was sawn to veneer, and there’s still some old batches found every now and then (also solid wood too). That is also the story behind my brazilian rosewood.
It would be a shame to see old batches of this wood burned. What would be more beautiful than to have it sweetly singing as a musical instrument.
I have an offical permission by CITES authorities to my batch of brazilian rosewood,
It is offically proven to be logged before year 1991 (Pre-CITES or Pre-convention) and I have a permission to sell it as part of my guitars.
So When You make investment and buy AJL guitar with Brazilian rosewood back & sides,
You will get offical CITES certification about the legal originality of the wood used in your guitar.
You can feel sure that You’re not supporting destroying rainforests. -And You are not going to end up in trouble with your guitar.
