19" Master 400

19" Master 400

This legendary 19" Master 400 is the Grand piano of archtop guitars. When used with bronze strings and action adjusted high, it's an Ultimate Big-Band rhythm guitar, made famous by Freddie Green from Count Basie's band and other big-band rhyhtm players of the era. After 1955 When Charles and Elmer passed away, these guitar became collectors items.

Couple of years ago I got invited to play rhythm in ostrobothnian Jazz-orchersta's Count Basie-project and I started researching these guitars. I got in touch with the most famous collector of these guitars and had lots of hard to get information about these rare masterpieces.

I'm very passionate with all original details on this guitar. It has original single brace top construction. All correct hardware & pickguard. This guitar takes much more time to build that any of my models. I make lightened brass tailpiece also like original. Only very special woods are used to this exclusive archtop.
